I offer confidential counselling, as well as supervision for counsellors, from comfortable and private therapy rooms as well as online. I work with individuals, couples, children and adolescents. Sessions typically last an hour and take place weekly or bimonthly. Everyone works at a different pace and the appropriate number of sessions is entirely up to you. I am happy to discuss options to meet your individual needs. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation where we can explore the possibilities for our work together. Sessions are £50 an hour, payable at the end of each session I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions, with concessions for trainees. Clinical Supervision is contracted differently as there are guidelines for counsellors that require monthly supervision of 1.5 hours. I am fully qualified, insured, and hold an advanced DBS certificate.
As an integrative counsellor I draw on a number of approaches. I tailor therapy to you rather than you having to fit in with a rigid theoretical model. I integrate creative Humanistic therapies such as Gestalt, alongside common-sense approaches such as Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Rooted in person-centred values, I view the relationship between client and counsellor as key to offering a warm, non-judgemental and therapeutic space. I work in an atmosphere of trust and my hope is that you will feel safe and listened to so that you can speak openly without any fear of being judged.
During our initial conversation we will gain an understanding of how you could best use your sessions. Whilst not everyone wants to explore the ‘why?’ of the past - for many it can be very important to clarify, and make peace with something in order to move forward. Counselling in Plymouth can also be a very practical process; mapping future goals and helping turn hopes and dreams into a more achievable reality. And people do not always have a specific ‘problem’– some seek therapy simply to get insight into their way of being in relation to others and themselves in order to find a way to live more aligned to their core values.

And a bit about me.
Born and raised in London, I now live in the ocean city of Plymouth. When not counselling, in private practice, or on behalf of the NHS, you might find me recharging my own mental health by walking our cheeky rescue dog, cuddling the cats, or even trying to meditate. I also really enjoy photographing Nature. Please feel free to check out some of my captures on Instagram by pressing the link button below.
